Biomek® 3000 Laboratory Automation Workstation

Biomek 3000

The Biomek 3000 Laboratory Automation Workstation offers a flexible platform within a compact footprint. Our dedicated applications experts create automated solutions for a wide variety of commercially available kits. With Biomek software, it’s easy to configure any application to meet your specific needs.

Biomek® NXP Laboratory Automation Workstation

By incorporating a wide range of next-generation features into a small footprint design, Biomek NXP sets the standard for flexible laboratory solutions. It puts every aspect of liquid handling – including pipetting, dilution, dispensing and integration – into a single, automated system that is as powerful as it is efficient and economical. All while offering unprecedented options for changing needs. Combined with robust Biomek Software and our ongoing applications development, Biomek NXP is bringing new possibilities to life.

Biomek® FXP Laboratory Automation Workstation

The Biomek FXP is the latest entry in the Biomek line. With an up-to-date hardware design for greater positional accuracy and increased robustness, it can meet the needs of just about any application. It can be configured with either one or two pipetting pods. With its large deck capacity, the Biomek FXP sets the standard for flexible laboratory solutions to meet your changing needs. It puts every aspect of liquid handling – including pipetting, dilution, dispensing and integration – into a single, automated system that is as powerful and flexible as it is efficient and economical. Combined with the proven Biomek Software and our ongoing applications development, Biomek FXP is bringing new possibilities to life.

The Biomek FXP continuum starts with a single-pod system. Equip the high-capacity deck with Automated Labware Positioners (ALPs) suited to your application to create a dedicated workhorse system. Choose a 96- or 384-multichannel pipetting head, or opt for a pin-tool system for high-density replication tasks. The multichannel pod heads are easily swapped out for maximum flexibility and system reconfiguration as your needs change. A Span-8 configuration featuring independent well access also is available for tube-based operations and where flexible access to wells in a plate is needed.

ADMETox Workstation

Early drug discovery ADME toxicity assays, such as fast Caco-2 screens, can help in rejecting test compounds that lack good pharmaceutical profiles. A cost-effective high-throughput method, PAMPA (Parallel Artificial Membrane Permeability Analysis), which uses a phospholipid artificial membrane that models passive transport of epithelial cells, is becoming increasingly popular. The pION PAMPA Evolution 96 System (with Double-Sink and Gut-Box*) is a new surrogate assay that predicts the gastrointestinal-tract absorption of candidate drug molecules at different pH conditions.

Biomek® Assay Workstation

Whether your assay of choice is a heterogeneous or homogeneous assay, the Biomek® Assay Workstation is designed to provide you all the functional components you need to perform your antibody-based immunoassay or cell-based assay. The Biomek FXP or NXP, at the heart of the Biomek Assay Workstation provides you with the timed delivery of multiple reagents (capture and detection of antibodies and cells), scheduled incubation of plates (room temperature or elevated temperatures are available on-board), scheduled wash steps (96-or 384 well plate washers are available on-board) and detection of reaction endpoints (fluorescence, absorbance, fluorescence polarization, time-resolved fluorescence, and luminescence are available on-board). The Biomek Assay Workstation features the new and powerful SAMI® Workstation EX software. Building on our long tradition of intuitive and flexible software, SAMI Workstation EX provides researchers with complete automation control. The Biomek Assay Workstation is designed to process your assay from start to finish in complete walk-away mode. The Biomek Assay Workstation was designed to allow you to perform your assays your way.

  • Ensure system flexibility
  • Complete automation solutions with on-deck integrations
  • Streamline operations with SAMI Workstation EX software
  • Address 21 CFR Part 11 needs
  • Windows XP Operating Environment

BioRAPTR™ FRD

The BioRAPTR FRD workstation is an automated non-contact dispenser for low volume 384-well, 1536-well, and 3456-well plates. This workstation is the next generation Flying Reagent Dispenser™ (FRD). It produces highly accurate and precise dispensing across a volume range of 100 nL - 60 µL without cross-contamination, fully supporting integrated high-throughput screening, stand-alone assay development applications, and reagent additions applications in pharmacogenomic research. Key to its elegant design is a patented dispense head that utilizes four independent fluid pathways. The BioRAPTR FRD delivers reliable, high-quality performance with remarkably low dead volumes over an adjustable dispensing range.

PARADIGMDetection Platform

The PARADIGM Detection Platform features a selection of read-mode optimized detection cartridges that can be interchanged in less than five minutes to meet different assay needs. A detection cartridge includes all optical components and the light source required for a read mode. It is the first user-upgradable and configurable multimode reader, ideal for labs with multiple users and applications. The sensitive, high-throughput detector reads on the fly, in formats from to 1536 wells.
